from $10.00

Add a donation to your order to help suffering children in Afghanistan through Open Hands for Children.

On August 15, 2021, the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. Many Afghans evacuated to safety, but many are left behind. They are now facing famine, violence, and extreme inflation as the economy suffers.

This fundraiser is facilitated by Zainab Ahmadi and Fawzia Abdaly, lifelong friends from Afghanistan, and Tiffany Black, an American they befriended right after they evacuated at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

In September 2021, thousands of evacuees from Afghanistan found safe haven at Camp Atterbury. Ahmadi and Abdaly were among them. Back in 2015, they founded Open Hands for Children in Mazar-e Sharif. Since then, they have distributed food, warm clothing, and other necessities to hundreds of Afghan children in need.

In Afghanistan, the Taliban threatened Ahmadi's and Abdaly's lives due to their advocacy of women's empowerment. Now that they have safely evacuated, their close friends and colleagues continue to operate Open Hands for Children.

All funds will be sent directly to the organizers of Open Hands for Children via Western Union and Moneygram.

Your donation will provide food, warm clothing, shoes, and other necessities for children suffering from starvation, neglect, and violence.

Thank you for contributing.
